Language Links is excited to bring quality fun foreign language immersion
programs to children between eighteen months and fourteen years of age.
We believe in introducing language in a natural environment using a variety
of engaging activities to meet the needs and interests of all students
learning styles and levels.
Small groups of students are immersed in a second language in a natural
setting using a variety of songs, games, projects, dances, skits, dialogues
and arts & crafts. Our unique approach maximizes a child's"window
of opportunity" or what linguists and doctors refer to as a child's "critical
period" for flexible cognitive development.
 Language
Links, founded by Maria Demeo in Falmouth, Massachusetts in 2000,
is a language school which offers a variety of language based programs
for children. Maria holds a Bachelors degree
in Spanish from the University of Massachusetts and a Masters degree
in teaching K-12 in Spanish and English as a Second Language (ESL) from
the School for International Training in Brattleboro Vermont. She
has studied at the University of Salamanca in Spain as well as La Universidad
de San Sebastian.
Maria has traveled throughout Spain, Europe,
Puerto Rico and Costa Rica. She has taught in several Language
Academies and both Private and Public Schools in Spain, Puerto Rico,
New Mexico, Florida, Chicago, Sandwich and Falmouth Massachusetts. She
has successfully written 3 grants to help local businesses offset the
costs of Work Place Literacy Programs for their employees. Language
Links is registered with the Department of Employment and Training as
a Work-Place Literacy Provider. Language Links is also the proud
recipient of the 2004 Cape Cod SCORE Small Business of the Year Award.
